API Detailing
The 3D configurator integration is a 2-part set of functions, a trigger function on the store page UI that sends instructions to the iframe embedding a viewer and a receiver function on the viewer that handles the instructions sent from the UI.
We use jQuery to add a change event to the UI options that, when triggered, calls a public function on the viewer (passed through the iFrame using JavaScript’s postMessage and receive message functions) with the UI element’s title and value.
The viewer’s public function then handles the title and value and performs the required update to the visual.
